trail-connected downtown revitalization

Supported by an Appalachian Regional Commission Partnerships for Opportunity and Workforce and Economic Revitalization Initiative (POWER) grant and the Community Foundation of Westmoreland County, CoHub will work with partners to develop a coordinated plan for space-based economic revitalization in trail-connected downtowns along the Great Allegheny Passage in Westmoreland and Fayette Counties. The plan will assess building stock, analyze market conditions for arts, maker, and visitor-focused enterprises, and identify opportunities for creative reuse/entrepreneurship to strengthen local economies, foster year-round activity, retain regional spending, and guide future investment.

Partners:

  • Redevelopment Authority of Westmoreland County
  • Redevelopment Authority of the County of Fayette
  • Touchstone Center for Crafts
  • Shiftworks Community + Public Arts

Start the Conversation.

Every project starts somewhere. Help CoHub learn more about your community, project, or idea so we can better understand where support may be helpful. You do not need to have everything figured out to reach out. Whether you’re exploring funding opportunities, building readiness, developing a project, or simply trying to understand what’s possible, this is a place to start the conversation.
